Renovations in recent years have improved dozens of downtown buildings and boosted Jamestown as a place to visit and do business. To cultivate a vibrant mixture of businesses to fill these renovated spaces and serve a growing base of residents, workers, and visitors, the JRC is leading an effort to identify and assist promising commercial ventures with locating, relocating, or expanding in downtown Jamestown.
Downtown Commercial Rental Incentive
This program provides financial incentives to established businesses that are new to downtown Jamestown by reducing monthly lease rates for a defined period. A business meeting eligibility criteria may receive up to $5,000 in assistance in the first 18 months of operation.

Commercial Broker Incentive
This program rewards real estate brokers, leasing agents, and building owners for their efforts in attracting new businesses to downtown Jamestown. After a qualifying business is open for a minimum of 90 days, the referring broker or building owner is eligible to receive an incentive payment of $1,000.
