The Tinseltown Christmas Parade and Holiday Celebration, presented by The Resource Center, will take place in downtown Jamestown on Friday, December 4, at 6:30 pm with Santa Claus being escorted by Shults Auto Group. Santa’s trip through downtown ends at Tracy Plaza and signifies the beginning of the parade fireworks.
“Shults Auto Group always has a beautiful display in this parade, handmade by their talented staff,” said Edwin Rodriguez, events and marketing associate for the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation. “As the Official Transportation of Santa Claus, their presentation really makes this event special for the families and children who attend,” said Rodriguez. Shults Auto Group will be creating 5-6 custom floats or vehicles, presented in a specific order, to tell a very heartwarming holiday story to the viewers. The rest is a secret saved for parade night.
“It’s great to once again be a part of Jamestown’s annual holiday parade,” said Tim Shults, President of the Shults Auto Group. “So many families turnout for this great event and we are proud to once again be Santa’s official transportation provider,” said Shults.
After the parade, Santa Claus will be stopping by the Jamestown YMCA for Santa’s Family Workshop. The event runs from 7 to 9 pm and includes ornament decorating, holiday snacks, face painting, karaoke, and more. Cost for admission to Santa’s Family Workshop after the parade is $1 per person. Admission for children under 2-years-old is free.
The Tinseltown Christmas Parade and Holiday Celebration is also sponsored by the 38 libraries of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System, Southern Tier Xpress Hockey Team, and Elite Kreations Auto Detailing (Official Transportation of the Grand Marshal), Chautauqua Region Community Foundation (Fireworks Sponsor), Jamestown Renaissance Corporation, City of Jamestown, and Jamestown Up Close.
